Public Awareness Ad

My partner and I chose Littering for our public awareness assignment. We both felt that littering was a major problem in many neighborhoods of Staten Island. We thought that by spreading the word in an interesting way, youth such as peers our age would take time to pay attention.

Learning Reflection 4-8

For this flash assignment, the task was to create a stick figure on a moving background. It was fairly easy, and only consisted of changing the positioning of the stick figure.

Learning Reflections 4-3-2014

 This week, I learned how to use the flash software for animations. I thought it would be challenging at first since I'd never used it before. However, when I finally got the just of it, it was very simple and fun to use. I created this animated face using Flash.

03-13 Movie Animation

This week I created a video out of my pivot animation using Windows Movie Maker 2.6. This was my first time using window movie maker, but it was fairly easy to use. My only challenges were finding proper sound effects to go along with some of the movements and compressing my file so that I could add the sound effects into the audio layer.

Pivot Animation

During this animation project, I learned how to make a short animation using the Pivot software. Since this was my first time using this software, one challenge that I had was that I had no clue how to make this figure move. I could do simple movements of the limbs and head, but I didn't know how to get the figure to go anywhere. And when I finally did , the movements did not flow which made the animation look unrealistic.

Now that I've  finally become adjusted to using pivot, this new skill could be applied to make more animations for entertainment or even advertisement.

11-15 Learning Reflections Blog

This is my name banner, my first Photoshop assignment.


Last week, I learned how to use the Photoshop software. My first assignment was to create a name banner. At first, this was challenging because found that every little unintentional thing I did caused something else to happen. This especially happened when I used the magnetic lasso tool. Eventually, however, I got the concept of some of  the many tools Photoshop has to offer, and my assignment became fun to do.
